This service is focused on supporting adults with hoarding and self-neglect difficulties to organize and maintain habitable home environments.
We undertake ongoing risk assessments which we utilise to work in partnership with the client and relevant professionals to mitigate risks and to promote positive risk taking. This enables us to manage risk whilst supporting the client to maintain their independence.
This support is provided over a number of sessions agreed with the client, their representative and Care professionals. Our support does not only dwell on the issues of hoarding in isolation of other social circumstances, but we also assist with other practical tasks such as social activities, sorting mail, bills, organising appointment, repairs, advocacy, support with benefits and applying to charity organisations for assistance.
Our interventions also aim to support Health and Social Care professionals in their care management and safeguarding duties.
